New Technology Center Opens in New Orleans
Thanks to a partnership with Cox Communications, The Salvation Army of Greater New Orleans has opened a new Technology Center.
Salvation Army officers- Majors Chris & Lynda Thornhill, want to serve children, educationally, in the midst of the pandemic and beyond.
Thanks to a grant from Cox Communications, the purchase of new computers as well as the furniture for the tech center was realized.
Major Chris Thornhill, states, “We are so grateful for the partnership with Cox Communications in this new venture for the people of New Orleans. Not only will this Technology Center serve school aged children during the school year, it will also be used by adults for resume development, internet skills and more. It’s partnerships like this that give The Salvation Army opportunities to reach those that need us in the modern era.”
The Greater New Orleans Area Command is excited for what the future holds as the Center opens its doors for new ministry opportunities.
