Hurricane Ida Continued Response
As the initial effects of Hurricane Ida are being felt, The Salvation Army is activating a massive operation to meet immediate need through feeding, sheltering, emotional and spiritual care, and other services for survivors and first responders.
The Salvation Army of Georgia team has now arrived after obtaining disaster relief supplies, including much-needed bottled water and personal protective equipment.
The Emergency Services Director for The Salvation Army of Georgia said, “The best way to help survivors and relief workers is to make a financial contribution." “Monetary donations allow disaster responders to immediately meet the specific needs of disaster survivors as the situation continues to be assessed.”
