A New Library of Congress Exhibit Features The Salvation Army
A new exhibit at the Library of Congress just opened, called “Join in”.
This exhibit highlights organizations in the US that make a difference in their communities. The hope of this exhibit is by giving examples of how people have come together in the past to help their neighbors in need- will shine a light on what’s possible today.
According to The Library of Congress’ site, Join In examines this longstanding impulse of Americans to join together for charitable and mutual aid.
The exhibit is free for everyone and features groups like The Red Cross, Girl Scouts, and The Salvation Army.
Local volunteers for The Salvation Army hope that this new exhibit will create an infectious spirit of giving of time and resources to help others.
